Wildlife Nature Reservation – Save the earth

JungleWalla was set up in 1994 in Langkawi Malaysia, with the noble aim of educating people as to the richness of Langkawi’s natural history.
JungleWalla is comprised of a passionate team of nature guides, all brought together by a kindred affinity for nature. The organization is spearheaded by Irshad Mobarak. The JungleWalla philosophy is to present trips in a pleasant, thought-provoking manner, while encouraging questions along the way..
JungleWalla caters to families, schools, and companies; both adults and children can participate in JungleWalla tours. JungleWalla especially intends to reach out to companies moved by a sense of social responsibility, who wish to inculcate a similar sense of concern in their employees: as such, JungleWalla organizes corporate team building activities, which include various programmes that promote environmental protection and corporate social responsibility (CSR).

National Geographic Channel Asia – Team Building Event
September 2008
JungleWalla Tours was privileged to have been chosen by National Geographic Asia to conduct their company team building event..
The event was themed “Save Planet Langkawi”, and – in keeping with NGC Asia’s company image – elements of nature, conservation and fun were all included in the program. .
Participants were required to complete certain tasks at various Langkawi Geopark locations around the island, which covered three aspects of Langkawi: its geological history, the arrival of civilization, and the science of conservation..
The Langkawi Planet Race ended at The Lighthouse. A cooking challenge awaited them there. Participants were made to use fresh, home-raised and hand-picked ingredients to prepare traditional Malay cuisines, under the watchful eyes of Shukri..
Then, just before dinner, Irshad Mobarak presented on the purpose of the race, the many themes it highlighted and what members ought to have learned from it. This event was followed by The Rainforest Aid Project at The Andaman, and the very next day, the group departed from Langkawi.
Covidien Healthcare – Give Back
October 2008
Kelvin Seow, a man with vision, who is also the Regional Manager for The Covidien Group, had chosen to support the JungleWalla Corporate Social Responsibility project as one of its Langkawi-based activities. This time around, they chose the Kuala Teriang community as the direct beneficiary of the project.
They selected these activities: Rainforest Aid, at the Kuala Melaka River Park, Mangrove Aid, at the Kuala Teriang mud flat, and Fish for the Future, for the Kuala Teriang Community. The weather wasn’t very welcoming; it was raining heavily at the time, but the participants braved themselves through it and kept themselves out and about to complete their tasks.
All in all, the Group planted 120 trees; they also donated 30 trees to The Pelangi Beach Resort (where they were then staying), and some further 250 mangrove seedlings and 22 reefs to the Community.
